Tour De Cure: Another Epic Adventure

Sunday June 9th, 2013 Nathaniel and Lisa completed the Tour De Cure starting at Verona Beach State Park, NY. A terrific mother and son team. They rode the 100 mile ride and it was an awesome experience. 

The weather was spectacular, blue sky and bright sun. Go Team!

A great way to end summer with a spring triathlon that is a family endeavor. Lisa took on the sprint competing as an individual whiel Brooke and Nathaniel were a team ( Nathaniel Swam and Biked, Brooke Ran).

USAT Age Group National Championships 2012, Burlington VT

Burlington is a beautiful place to visit in the summer and an awesome place to have a triatlon. A wavey swim in Lake Champlain, a bike around Burlington and a run as well.  A well deserved trip after four years of qualification since 2008. 

The swim was a challenge, very wavey and a strong windy to stir the water.

A we all know transition can be a busy place!

We travel as a team.

To top off our trip a ride on the ferry.

Tinman 2012

As a family this was an amazing experience. Three of us took a leg of the journey. Nathaniel age 14 swam the 1.2 miles, Lisa after coming back for a huge set back with a dog bite in the late spring completed the bike of 56 miles and Brooke took on the run portion of 13.1 in the heat of the day.
